■同心番所 ここは現代的に言えばガードマンの詰め所で、主な役割は大名のお供の監視だという。 現在江戸城跡地としてのこのエリアの中には番所が３棟残っているが、大手門を入って最初にあるのがこの番所。

■Doshin bansho Guardhouse A bansho was a guardhouse. Doshin bansho is one of the three guardhouses still remaining. Samurai guradsmen kept constant watch especially on the members of a lord's retinue who entered throug Ote-mon gate.
